According to the latest data released by the Delhi Health Department, the city currently has 375 active cases, and one death has been reported. The Delhi government’s health department stated that 57 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, while 49 patients recovered. The death involved a 68-year-old patient who had pre-existing conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, and was admitted to a private hospital.
Testing and Positivity Rate
According to officials, Covid-19 testing in Delhi has ramped up in recent days. A total of around 9,800 RT-PCR and rapid antigen tests were conducted, yielding a positivity rate of 0.58%. This indicates that while the spread of infection is currently under control, the virus hasn’t been eradicated completely.
Hospitalization Data
Only 22 Covid-19 patients are currently hospitalized in major hospitals across the capital, and just 3 patients require oxygen support. The rest are under home isolation. Doctors noted that most new cases involve mild symptoms, and patients require only basic treatment.

Delhi’s Chief Health Officer Dr. Rajendra Mishra appealed to the public to continue following safety protocols. He said, “Although case numbers are low, Covid-19 hasn’t disappeared. People should avoid crowded places, wear masks, and maintain hand hygiene.”

Covid vaccination coverage in Delhi remains high. According to government data, 98% of the population has received the first dose, and 85% have received both doses. There has been some delay in booster dose uptake, but the government is now actively promoting it. Free booster dose camps are being organized across the city.
